Dear Dr. Kaz (what kind of name is that anyway?);

I am too short for my weight (5'5/245 lb’s), I have hammer toes, bunions, blisters, plantar fasciatus, lower back pain, and dizzy spells. I can walk out to the mail box and back without stopping (although I am out of breath when I get back to the house), I can swim the width of the Greenbrook pool two times in under five minutes, and I can ride a bike withe training wheels attached. I eat five Milky Way bars a day, but I am going to cut down to three. Now for my question: what kind of shoes should I buy so that I can maximize my effort in your little ‘Triatha-thingy”? Waiting for your advice I am an athlete in training.

What a story. I read with rapt attention. Brett your journalistic sense is uncanny. Such driving, poignant questions. And to "The Rose", thank you for your tell-all honesty. Such courage.

Great piece.

To Whom It May Concern:

I believe my time was miscalculated. I started and finished the triathlon with my dad, Ken Farr. According to my watch, we finished in 1 hour and 46 minutes. I am seriously considering pressing charges for the punitive damages I have incurred during the last week. My name has been defamed as it appears I lost to the likes of Curt Huffmire. My predicament lies in the fact that the aforementioned Curt Huffmire is also my legal adviser. I believe his opinion is strongly biased due to the fact that he quite enjoys the published results which indicate he beat me, ergo I will be seeking a second opinion. I also find it strangely suspicious that the FV3 Triathlon Blog Committee has "failed to receive" the preceding comment...twice. I am beginning to think the committee is being blackmailed by Mr. Huffmire. You will be notified via mail if I do decide to press charges. Thank you and have a good day.

Jeffrey N. Farr

I hope to think that my wife wasn't in on this. Greathouse, I'm going to the FV Police Department for breaking and entering!

The only really true stuff that was the part about running at BYU for free versus getting paid to run at the U.
